erin nicole brown

Born and raised in a small town in Virginia, I am bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to be leaving NYC and headed to the always sunny, San Diego, California. As an innovative, driven and socially-savvy marketing and communications professional, I thrive in positions working with social media, design, writing, and events. My complementary skills of thinking analytically and creatively lend to my foresightedness to coordinate long-term projects and having an eye for aesthetics.

Traveling and sightseeing are one of my many passions; having been to ten countries and on a solo 30-state road trip. I have backpacked a section of the Appalachian Trail, studied abroad in South Korea, and seen a black bear in Yosemite. With an artistic mind and idealist heart, I dream to ice skate beneath the dancing northern lights, play piano amid the intimacy of a romantic restaurant, and ultimately hold a position in which I can employ my creativity.

Albeit the adventure I seek, my deepest passions are earnest. I am a free thinker, considering myself a global citizen, with an insatiable thirst for understanding humankind. Through my traveling, I have seen and felt the disparities within our nation and world. My openness and innate curiosity build bridges with anyone I speak to, no matter the border. I want to use this gift to lead the world to work together for the collective good, uplifting each other, at no expense of another.

I have worked with eight nonprofits with missions ranging from educating Congress on climate and energy data, to raising funds to send girls in Kenya to school. I have lead a variety of communication efforts, including community solar advocacy and research, brand identification and development, and event fundraising. In these roles, I have leveraged a broad range of digital platforms like Adobe Creative Suite, social media, web development sites, Google Ads and Analytics, Hootsuite, Salesforce, Trendkite, and other industry tools.

I see that the most effective instruments for project productivity are frequent communication, a reservoir of ambition, the ability to take ownership of initiatives and execute based on an overarching strategic framework.

Above all else, I bring a passion for socio-environmental change that is more than a day job and what my work history will reveal; it is a life’s motive trickling into all the cracks and crevices of my existence.
